9th of August 2001 After the inadvertant wiping of the second Hannibal King website, work has been underway in rebuilding the entire site. Finally work has been completed on some of the pages and, as the cliche may say, Hannibal King rides again.
Work on the screenplay for "Hannibal King and the Spear of Destiny" has been going ahead with a view to filming on Digital Video and loking into the possibility of an eventual DVD release sometime in 2003. Casting has already begun and hopefully the movie will start principal photography as soon as "ZIPPY RODENT FILMS" has completed three other projects (please check out the Zippy Rodent website for details of these movies).

A HISTORY OF HANNIBAL KING
My love of High adventure started in July 1981 when I went on a family holiday to see "Raiders of the Lost Ark" on wet afternoon. Now, for someone who had found the perfect movie four years previously in "Star Wars", finding an even more perfect movie was a revalation. I made my way back to the hotel whistling the "Raiders March" and spent most of my vacation money on the soundtrack album, comic book adaptations and the novelisation.
Nothing would seem the same again!
However, back then in the UK there was not a lot of Indy stuf available and I developed an interest in all manner of high adventure heroes. Tarzan, Doc Savage, the Shadow, Bond all filled the gaps between 1981 and 1984 when "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" was released.
However, in 1982, my friends decided to make a short movie using their fathers old super 8 cine camera. The film, a science fiction adventure called "The Visitors" was very good and great fun to do. We made a number of other movies and inevitable I decided that I would make my own film. From this decision "Trail of the Bloodstained God" was written and we started filming in 1983. The adventures of Hannibal King have continued and now, as I am about to embark on the biggest adventure yet (on Digital Video) I still have as much love for the genre as I had twenty years ago. Will Hannibal King continue after "Spear of Destiny" has been completed . . . I don't know. I hope so! But only time will tell!
As they say in the best traditions of adventure . . .
